Bouncing Brooke

I tried to put this in last week but it wouldn't upload, so I tried again today and it worked. I took it on my little camera so it is a bit dark and hard to see but it is still cute to watch. I wish I would have tried when I did the Ten on Tuesday but now everyone has two posts to look at and enjoy!

Every time we put her in this she goes nuts. Even when we walk into the bathroom, it is hung on closet door frame, she goes nuts kicking her legs, body and begins to laugh. She knows what is coming and she loves it! Enjoy watching our crazy Brooke bounce away and away and away.

Ten on Tuesday: really wednesday!

1. On Saturday, Aaron and Garrett went to see the Indian Jones movie. Garrett kept bugging me to go see the movie because a couple of his friends from school were going. He wanted to go where they were going but I told him that he wasn't invited and he couldn't just invite himself. So, instead he had a daddy and son night out.

2. Sunday we went to my Aunt's house because my cousin, Corey, graduated from high school and Reese was really good over there. She just played by herself and watched Beauty and the Beast.

3. This weekend I was trying on dresses because I have a wedding to go to on the 14th of June. I really don't want to buy a new dress just for the wedding so I was trying on some that I already have. While I was trying on the dresses, Reese walks in with her Cinderella dress on and she inspired me to do something that I have been wanting to do for almost 7 years. I busted out my wedding dress to see if it still fits. It does! However, I couldn't get it zipped once we got to the bust area. Those darn breast-feeding breast. Anyways, Reese saw my vail and had to wear it. Now, that's all she wants to wear.

Here she is in her vail!

The little princess posing for her picture.

4. I got to scrap book a little bit on Monday. I did only one page but one less page that I have to do. Speaking of Monday, what a gloomy day for Memorial day. We just hung around the house and did a whole lot of nothing.

5. Reese decided to put on her Christmas dress Monday morning and daddy thinks it's just another one of her dress up dresses. So, he gives her breakfast and she spills yogurt on it. I could of just killed him and if looks could kill...well, you get the picture. I told him that was her Christmas dress and it will be Brooke's dress as well. I then told him that he has to take it to the dry cleaners to get it cleaned and pick it up (in a not so nice of a tone). Seriously, how can they not know what is dress-up clothes and what isn't? I guess that's just men for you.

6. On the way to school yesterday, Reese tells me she wants me to go to work and for daddy to stay home with her now.

7. Then Garrett says, "But if mommy works and daddy doesn't then we will have no money for the house". How does he know the pathetic salary of teachers?

8. Then on the way home from school, we had the windows down. Well, we were on one of those old chino cow roads and Reese says, "put the windows up because it smells like cow poop. All of the windows mommy". She certainly is my little back seat driver.

9. Yesterday, at swim lessons, I over heard Justin and Reese talking in the spa. It was quite a conversation. They were talking about we they grow up and then I heard Justin say that we he gets older he will be a daddy and then Reese said that when she gets older she will be a mommy. It's cute how they are obsessed with being mommies and daddies right now.

10. Last night at dinner, I fed Brooke her jar of baby food. Then she started screaming. I did the sign for more and she laughed at me as usual. Then she began to wail again. So, I got another jar and as soon as she saw it she began crying. I mean she did the silent cry and as soon as I put food in her mouth she was fine. I guess when she wants something she really wants something. We're just afraid that now our sweet little Brooke is turning into her hell-raising sister. I staying positive but we'll see.

Here's the little princess in training. Doesn't she look just like her big sis?

And what a day it was!

1. We went over to my parents' house today to pick up Garrett and we got to see Yaya (my grandmother). My dad and brother picked up Garrett from school, so Brooke could finish her nap.

2. Brooke has still been fussy because of her teeth, but...finally, today, her lower front tooth (on the right side) poked through. She finally has a tooth. The left one is getting ready to make it's appearance very soon.

You can't see her teeth, but I just thought this was a cute picture of the two of them.

3. It rained today. A drastic change from the 100 degree weather this weekend. Did you hear we had tornadoes today? We even had a tornado watch in effect. Crazy!

4. We were listening to the news and they said what to do in a tornado. So, Garrett immediately went and got a blanket and pillow. He said we needed to get into the center of the house with a blanket and pillow.

5. At dinner, we were talking about the rain and Garrett said, "It's raining because God is cleaning the earth".

6. The kids have been into making arts and crafts lately. Here is what Garrett made today. I was impressed because I use to make clocks with my kindergartners out of paper plates. I tried to figure out if I told him that but he said he saw it on t.v.

7. Reese always has something to say today. It just wasn't anything unique or cute that stuck in my head today. There's always tumarno (tomorrow). That's how she says tomorrow. Here is a cute picture of her.

Ten for Tuesday

1. Aaron and I went out for dinner and a movie on Friday night. When we returned home, we found a note taped to the office door. Garrett had to go to bed but he wanted to make sure he told on his sister.

He wrote it all by himself. He even made lines to write on.

2. On Saturday, Aaron, Garrett and Reese went to the preschool for daddy and me day. They had donughts and juice and then made and painted an airplane.

Don't they look cute with their daddy?

3. Reese made nose prints at school last week and I thought they were so cute that I had to share them.

Doesn't she have a cute, little nose?

4. On Sunday, we all went swimming at the Graces' house. It was the first time for Brooke and she loved the water. I think we have another swimmer on our hands.

5. Brooke took a 5 hour nap on Sunday. I think that her teeth may be bothering her and this is her way of dealing with it.

6. Brooke is still trying to crawl. I really need to find a gate for the game room. We made a make-shift gate and she crawled under it on Saturday. I would use the gate we used with Reese but she knocks it down to get out and that defeats the purpose of protecting Brooke from the stairs.

7. We got our new DVD system put in our van this weekend and the kids are so excited to ride in the van. They love sitting there with their head phones on watching t.v. Little do they know that I am going easy on them this week and then from now on it is occasional t.v. watching in the car.

8. I finally got around to taking pictures of Brooke in the bath. I think the last time I took them she was just a few weeks old. It seems like I have a ton of bath pictures of Garrett, a little less of Reese and on two occasions of Brooke. I'm sorry Brooke, I'll try to take more.

Bath Baby!

9. I mentioned in an earlier post about Brooke's eye red, swollen and gooey. Well, I think she may have had pink eye. I was talking to someone today and they mentioned that their daughter had the same symptoms and it was pink eye. Her eye looks better. The eyelid is still a little red and there is a little discharge but it looks good. I feel like such a horrible mom, but I guess it healed itself.

10. I know that Aaron forgot to call his dad yesterday and so did I. So, if Papa "T" is reading this, we want to wish him a happy be-lated birthday!

Ten for Tuesday

Mommy and her 3 littlest loves!

  • For Mother's day, we went to breakfast and then had a relaxing day at home. I opened presents from the kids and Aaron took Garrett to see speed racer. I scrapbooked with my friend while Reese and her friend played.
Gift from Garrett...he is taking his own pictures with his camera.

This is the gift that Reese made for me

  • This weekend we noticed that Brooke's left eye was becoming swollen and red. By Monday, it was pretty much gone but it is still gooey and a little red.
  • Garrett announced the other morning in the car that he has four grandma's. I said, "two are great-grandmas". He said, "well, that makes four".
  • Reese then said, "I have two papa's that love me!"
  • We went to check out the dance studio that Reese will be starting in July. She loved watching the girls dance in the outfits and dance shoes. She wanted to go in there and join them.
  • Brooke has learned how to smack her lips together to make a kissing sound.
  • Brooke loves when mommy gives her kisses.

  • Brooke is almost crawling.

Don't you just want to give her a big, huge kiss?

  • Monday morning or Sunday night the dog threw-up down stairs. Luckily, we have tile and it didn't make too much of a mess.

  • On Monday, after my stroller strides class, Brooke and I hung out at the park. I put her in the swing and she just giggled and smiled.

She's Three!

Yesterday, Reese officially turned three. My mom took her to get her nails and toes done for her birthday. She was so excited when they got there. My mom said that she knew exactly what to do, as if she went on a regular basis.

Doesn't she look all grown-up with her pretty pink nails?

She said getting her toes done tickled her feet.

She even got flowers on her thumbs and toes.

She was so excited to show me her nails when I picked her up from grandma's! She kept her hands just like the picture above so the polish wouldn't get ruined.

Later, we opened up presents and had cake.
Mommy and daddy got her the "Belle" princess dress.
"Oh,Belle flip-flops", she says.
Make a wish! Although, I think her wish came true on Tuesday when she saw four of her favorite princesses.
Eating cake with her best friend, Jordyn.
After cake, the kids played for a little while and then her big day was over. However, she wanted to sleep in her Belle dress. We told her no but first thing in the morning she could put it on. Well, what do you think she did as soon as she got up this morning? You guessed it! She had her Belle dress on.

Birthday Bash!

Yesterday was Reese's birthday bash at Disneyland. Before we headed out, my dear friend Ali came by to drop off Reese's birthday present, and of course, gifts for Garrett and Brooke. Garrett got a big sprinkler ball and the girls got matching bikinis, swim cover-ups and crocs. Reese squealed with delight at her new crocs. She said, "now I have crocs like my friend Jordyn". And she just thought that Brooke's crocs were the cutest things ever. So, we dropped off Brooke at my parents' house and headed out to Disneyland.

In the car, we asked Reese which ride she wanted to go on first. She said, "I want to go on Matterhorn". We get there and it's crowded and I'm thinking that we are going to spend another day waiting in lines. It actually wasn't too bad but more crowded than I was expecting for a Tuesday. We went on some rides and meet up with my friend Karina and her two girls.

In line for peter pan, first time for the kids because it always has at least a 50 minute wait time but today it was only 30 minutes.

Garrett, Reese and Tori after climbing the Tarzan Tree house.

Then at 2:50 we had lunch reservations at Ariel's grotto. At Ariel's grotto, 4 of the Disney princesses come around while you eat. This was the main event of the day.

As we're waiting in line to go down to be seated my camera runs out of batteries. Luckily, there was a gift shop just across from Ariel's grotto and daddy went to buy some. We couldn't see the princesses without taking pictures. I did hear it from Aaron because he told me to check the batteries and I assured him that they were new. For something so small, my camera sure does suck the life out of batteries quickly.

The first princesses to greet us was Ariel at the bottom of the stairs. Reese had her picture taken with her and then had her sign her autograph book.

The princesses are coming!

Reese said, "Snow white is my favorite" and you can tell that she's thrilled to have a picture with her favorite princess.

Cinderella

Sleeping Beauty

This is Jane from Tarzan.

Once we were finished eating, they brought our dessert and they sang to Reese for her birthday.

You can't tell by her expression but she was surprised and delighted when they came to sing to her. I think she felt like she was a princess with all the attention.

After leaving Ariel's grotto, we decided to stay at California adventure and go on some of the rides. Garrett and daddy went on more of the rides since Reese didn't reach the height requirement. But we went into Bug's life area were they had rides that Reese could ride. On the way out Reese wanted Aaron to carry her on his shoulders. Earlier she was riding on his shoulders and Garrett wanted a ride and Aaron told him that it was Reese's birthday so she gets a longer ride. Well, when she wanted a ride on daddy's shoulders again, he told her no. She said, "but it's my birthday" and daddy couldn't resist. You have to be careful of what you say because little ears are always listening and ready to repeat what you say.

Being carried like the princess that she is!

The kids wanted to go back to Disneyland and go on some more rides. We went back on Matterhorn, autopia, and Garrett and I went on space mountain. Reese and daddy went on Matterhorn again. After all that, we were read to head home. The kids were tired and so were we and I still had cupcakes to bake for Reese's class so she could celebrate her birthday at school. When we got back in the car all the kids could talk about was the two roller coasters that they loved riding. Then all of a sudden, Reese says, "my feet hurt". I told her mine did too. I'm surprised that she didn't complain earlier since we didn't take a stroller for the first time ever!

Too Funny!

Okay, the kids and I are in the car driving home from lunch with my parents, brother and his girlfriend. It seems like many of my stories happen in the car. Anyways, we're driving along and Garrett announces that he has to fart and that it's going to be a big "one". He does it and he says that it was just a little one. Then he explains how it's nice to let people know when you are going to fart. I told him "thank you" for letting us know and that it is polite to warn people when you do have to fart.

Then there's my daughter Reese! I begin to hear what sounds like bubble wrap being twisted and popped. I ask her if she is farting. She laughs and says, "yes, it's me mommy". We continue driving and I hear it again. I said, "Reese" and she said, "mommy I'm farting like Walter". It took me a minute for it to register but I figured out what she was talking about. The Easter bunny brought Garrett a book called "Walter, the farting dog". It's a hilarious book. She remembered that the dog farted throughout the entire book and apparently she made a connection with it. I laughed with her! The teacher inside me was thinking how amazing it was that she made a text to real-life connection.

She continued with her flatulence and eventually said, "just call me Walter, okay mommy". Needless to say, it continued all the way home and she got a kick out of it every time I called her Walter. That girl is crazy and definitely makes our life more entertaining.

Here's my crazy girl!

Here they are having a good time playing outside.

Three for Thursday

Reese, Brooke and I are driving to pick up Garrett from school, and Reese ask me where her friend Jordyn was today. I explained to her that she was at the babysitter's house because her mommy was at work. Reese then asked, "why don't you work". I replied, "because I stay home to take care of you, Garrett and Brooke". She then told me that she wanted me to go to work. I said, "you want mommy to go back to work"? Then she said, "No, I changed my mind"! She then proceeded to tell me she grows up and I grow down that she will go to work. I guess she knows that the opposite of up is down and that if she said "older" then it some how wouldn't make sense.

Why is it that when moms are driving kids are always yelling at each other? My kids seem to do this everyday for as long as they are in the car. If it's not yelling then it's the constant talking to me or each other. Today, we were driving down one of the few old Chino "Cow" roads. Garrett and Reese began calling each other names. Now, a couple of weeks ago Reese was curious about her anatomy down "south" and we talked about it and I told her what it was called. So, they were calling each other names. For example, cow head, poop-poop head and then all of a sudden, you guessed it, she blurts out "you vagina head". I guess when they learn a new word they really like to use it. Kids, you gotta love them!

Tonight Garrett was reading his book to me and I glanced over and saw Reese doing the same thing to her baby doll. It was the cutest thing. The book was a hand-made book from Aaron's grandmother. It doesn't have any words only pictures of an animal on each page. I could hear Reese making up a story to her baby. I had to take a picture of it for everyone to see.

I just couldn't resist...Isn't she cute?

Of course, Garrett wanted his picture taken too!

Then I noticed Brooke on the ground with a book and I had to take a picture. It was like it was meant to be. I guess you could say it was nothing but books, books, and books!

That book was great...The End!
