Well, we got back from our mini-vacation late Tuesday night. We headed out to San Diego on Monday and expected to stay until Wednesday. However, it was a bit rough with three kids in the hotel room so we headed home early.
On Monday, we went to Legoland. A first for all of us. The kids had a great time but it is much harder to go on rides with three kids versus two. Also, Reese didn't meet all the height requirements so that meant that she couldn't go on all the rides. Most of the rides were only for two riders so that also made it difficult. Legoland did have a wet area and we stopped and let the kids play and get wet. They enjoyed that. We didn't end up leaving until just about closing time which was around eight. Brooke was great, as usual, with no nap but extremely tired.

Reese had one ride that was her favorite and it was the fairy tale boat ride. That was the only ride that all five of us were able to go on. She wanted to go on it again before we left but we opted for the small roller coaster. Of course, the little dare-devil that she is, she had her hands up the whole time on the ride.
Daddy, Garrett and Reese in a fire truck that they had to move manually. Poor daddy had to do all the work and I think they came in last, but hey, the other three trucks had at least two adults.

On Tuesday, we headed to Sea World. The kids really loved Sea World. Daddy was especially excited because we saw a roller coaster that he wanted to ride. We headed over to the roller coaster first, since Garrett was tall enough to ride, and it was closed because they were having technical difficulties. So, we headed over to the penguin exhibit. The kids had a hard time looking at the penguins because the glass was all fogged up. However, there were penguins outside swimming in the water. They enjoyed getting a close-up look at all the penguins. Then we headed over to see the dolphin show, look at the sharks and the manatees.
We then decided that we would head over to the tide pool and sea turtle area, jump on the rapids ride and maybe catch the Shamu show. Well, this was not our day. The rapids ride was also closed and the Shamu show already had a line and the show wasn't for another forty-five minutes. Since Brooke was just about nodding off, we skipped the show and headed for the tide pool. The kids were able to touch star fish and they had a blast.
Reese was in awe of the dolphins!
The kids were tired and hungry, although, they didn't complain as much as mommy did. We headed back to the hotel, ordered room service and decided to pack and head home. Staying in a hotel with a crawling baby isn't much fun or practical. Brooke fell asleep and the kids, amazingly, stayed awake and watched a movie. About half-way home Garrett kept saying that he needed to make a pit stop because he was thirsty. He's been watching too much Nascar with daddy.
